THE PROBLEM - SOFTWARE PIRACY
The Problem - Software Piracy is a costly and rapidly growing problem:.
The world’s software market is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. The growth rate varies country by country but is particularly strong in many emerging markets. China, as an example, grew their software market by 88% between 2005 and 2006. The Business Software Alliance (BSA) estimates that the worldwide software revenue loss due to piracy exceeded US$40 billion in 2006 and is growing at a 15 – 20% rate. This represents approximately 1/3 of all software installed. In some countries the piracy rate is over 80% and in over 100 countries it is above 60%.
Software piracy’s damaging economic impact is not confined to the software industry. If America’s PC software piracy rate decreased 10 percentage points, 32,031 jobs would be created, $41 billion in additional local industry revenues and $6.7 billion in additional tax revenues for federal, regional, and local governments.

ByteShield™’s revolutionary design avoids the weak protections and vulnerabilities of existing solutions and their negative effects on user experience. This cannot be done without extremely strong and efficient copy protection. ByteShield™’s system design enables product to be transparent to end user and so time consuming to crack that the incentives for the crackers disappear.
