Jan Samzelius, Chairman and
CEO Jan is a Serial Entrepreneur-CEO of three previous startups in the past 15 years. He is one of the founders of ByteShield and has been its full-time leader for three years. Jan holds an important patent in the area of text processing and is the co-inventor of several of ByteShield’s current patent applications.
Jan has worked extensively in
marketing, primarily as a consultant.After many years of consulting
assignments for Coca-Cola, he has focused on service industries. Jan
has worked with the telecom industry for almost 20 years. Jan
received his MBA from Harvard Business School in
1979.
Christian Olsson, Vice President
Marketing & Alliances Christian has extensive marketing, alliances and sales management experience. He has 10 years of experience from start-ups including Marratech (Google) videoconferencing, Protegrity and Valyd (EMC) database security, and Fox Technologies email security.
Christian has also served as the Swedish Trade Commissioner to Australia. His career started with 14 years at ITT Flygt, the world's leading submersible pump manufacturer, where he held sales & marketing management positions in the US, Sweden and Australia. Christian holds an MBA from Lund University and an Engineering Degree from the Tycho Brahe Technical College.
Donald Steiny, Vice President
Engineering Don founded one of the first Web companies and worked both hands on and managed teams evolving tools based on LAMP and other open technologies to create and build software supporting interactivity and ecommerce. He has lead and participitated in software development projects for Hewlett-Packard, Sun, Bell Laboratories, Motorola and other major organizations and has also worked as a business consultant writing business plans and being on the advisory boards of a number of startup companies.
Don has a B.A. in Linguistics from University of California, Santa Cruz, a M.S. in Information Systems (Summa Cum Laude) from University of Oulu in Finland, and is working towards a PhD in Information Systems from University of Oulu.
